BGC Contracting, in a joint venture with Barclay Mowlem, was awarded the $40 million contract to construct the Northam Bypass.
The Northam Bypass Project involved the construction of 9 bridges and 16kms of road. The route ran over a rugged greenfields site with 3 major river crossings, 2 rail crossings and 4 main road crossings.

The first Term Maintenance Contract awarded to BGC Contracting involved maintenance of 2120km of road network in the Kimberley Region. This included routine maintenance, periodic maintenance, rehabilitation works, asset management of off-road assets, data management and minor improvement works.
